AU Hogwarts Era Story Recs Requested

I'm looking for AU Hogwarts era stories. For example: perhaps Lucius died when Draco was a child and he isn't as bratty, or Draco transfers in from another school when he is older so there is no rivalry. Anything where the circumstances are different during Draco's school years. I'll be grateful for any recs, but the following things are a big plus.

1. Draco and the Slytherins are treated sympathetically.

2. Slytherins are portrayed as having real friendships and are loyal to each other.

3. Draco is smart or funny or clever or secretly kind - not just a bully.

I'm looking for bottom!Draco, of course, but pre-slash or gen is welcome as well.

I'm going to be without internet over the Christmas holidays, so I'm trying to stock up on good stories. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I was browsing through some old recs at [livejournal.com profile] hd_complete and was reminded of two particular fics that fit your request... somewhat.

Beyond Wild Moor and Fen (http://www.thehexfiles.net/viewstory.php?sid=5357) and its companion piece, A Gryffindor and A Slytherin (http://www.thehexfiles.net/viewstory.php?sid=5335) by Furiosity. The first is actually an entry for the past Post OoTP Big Bang Challenge and is in Harry's pov while the other in Draco's pov. I like the former more than the latter because while both are perfectly capable of standing on its own (they aren't sequels of other), Beyond Wild Moor and Fen is less confusing. I read it years ago but if I'm not mistaken certain scenes in A Gryffindor and A Slytherin will sound a bit out of sorts if you read the fic without reading its companion piece.

Anyways, if you haven't read it then read it both starting from Beyond Wild Moor and Fen (because it's easier to understand that way). Basically Draco's still the biggest bully a.k.a most annoying prat ever but as you read on, you'd realise that as flawed as Draco is, he's also brutally honest and true to his character and beliefs. He looks down on others he deemed less 'equal' than he is because that's how he sees things and how he was brought up to acknowledge these things. And he's not ashamed to say so. Regardless of the fact he may or may not have feelings for Harry (he's not changing himself for anyone. End of.) But, he's a natural born leader and he's fiercely loyal to his own kind (Slytherins) and his friends, Blaise, Pansy, Vincent, Greg and Daphne. Especially Blaise. I remembered I like the Blaise/Draco dynamic (more than just friends but not-quite-lovers) in this particular verse of Furiosity's. You'd also see that the Slytherins view and do things differently and why they do what they did (in A Gryffindor and A Slytherin). And that Gryffindors aren't all noble and unbiased (because they really are and may just be as bad as the Slytherins *coughhermioneandroncough* - in Beyond Wild Moor and Fen).
