I am going to be honest. I agree and disagree with the whole 'purebloods are better then muggles and muggle-borns prejudice'.
I agree to the fact that it seems kind of curious as to why over fifty generation of purebloods claim this, and still do so in the present. I think there is something behind that whole idea that lay forgotten over the years. (Or I am just thinking to much into it, but someone has to right?) Plus, I don't think the wizarding world would survive without purebloods (Old blood that carries the magical gene) but could survive not having muggle-borns. The inbreeding they did may seem disgusting or inappropriate, but if it's about keeping a gene like having magic then I would have probably done it too.
I disagree because I absolutely HATE pointless killing. I have zero tolerance for it. Obviously, if muggles found out about wizards and wanted to extinguish them, they would have likely succeeded after awhile by number alone. Muggle and wizards are kind of like yin and yang. Equal but completely opposite.
That is also why I like H/D pairing because they balance each other out. I would never change for someone I like because I myself just the way I am, so I enjoy it very much when Draco's doesn't change and Harry still fall in love with him.
I also know that the racism goes BOTH ways, and dislike when author's try to pretend that it doesn't. Purebloods are more vocal about there views, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out how the wizarding world see all things 'dark'. I find both notions of 'dark or evil' and 'light and good' ridiculous. No human can be completely right 100% no matter how bad or good they are.
I see this, there for can't really put all the blame on Draco. If he has to see that muggles and muggle-borns are equal then Harry has to see that everybody has possibility to become 'dark' and even then it's likely because they simply turned a wrong corner somewhere.
