Hmm, I read a lot of eighth year fics, so I enjoyed a Draco much less prone to dramatics thanks to the war. I don't enjoy fics where he's grovelling trying to prove himself to get in the good graces of Harry's, of course. But there is something I find very compelling about a Draco who has internal demons and keeps things inside (until they blew up, one way or another). And for postwar fics, I have a definite soft spot for competent-at-his-job!Draco and swot!Draco.
