Serious pinning or Unrequited Love stories?

So, I am in the mood to torture myself with some serious hurt/comfort and angst that revolves around a pinning character (preferably Harry) or a character who is in love with someone...and does not end up with that person. At all. Not even close.

I am aware this is some sort of taboo in any fandom, but I really want to see some good unrequited love that stays that way.

A good example of a pinning story is lettered The Fall of the Veils. I LOVED this. On top of Draco being asexual, it was just really, really, good. :)

Oh, and the pairing does not have to be Harry/Draco, but of course, I prefer Draco to be apart of the pairing if there is any, or a main character in the story.

Have you read Start With A Strong And Persistent Desire (http://archiveofourown.org/works/165397?view_adult=true) by hereticalvision? It is dark and haunting and emotionally gripping and I just reread it to check if it was solely bottom!Draco, and it hurts, but it is so very beautiful, too, it is really worth it. Harry definitely does the pining here (and it's beautifully written), with Draco being the other part of the pairing (but Harry cannot have him). It is also written very well, fast-paced, Draco's voice (it is written from Draco's POV) is spot-on. It is a long fic, but it had me riveted to my screen when I read it, and it doesn't feel like a long fic at all. Highly recommended if you haven't read it before!

I think that story is really beautiful, if you're willing to give it a chance.
(Also, I think the 'level' of top!Draco in the story is rather low, in my opinion.)
