I do not remember much about the fic so it might be a minor miracle if anyone recognizes it. It may be too that I have mixed together two different stories.
All I remember is that Harry and Draco are in the potions laboratory, during a detention with  Snape I think, when either a spell goes awry or more likely the cauldron overboils and/or explodes and the contents cover both Harry and Draco. I think that Harry puts his arm around Draco and tries to shield him with his body . Anyway the result is that Draco is transformed into Harry's slave. I think the fact that Harry protected Draco makes the spell or potion or whatever it was interpret that as Harry being the master. Draco turns to Harry and asks permission to call him sir as he immediately knows he is Harry's slave and the alternative to calling Harry sir would be to call him master. Snape urges Harry to give Draco that permission quickly and then proceeds to tell Harry about the implications of the accident.
