I saw HPB again yesterday, and the H/G bits made me gag. I was really surprised at how many details I didn't remember *so ashamed* (like the vanishing cabinet, etc.).

I've come to the realization that I've become so accustomed to fandom that canon seems like a completely different world. Have I read too many A/U fics, or am I not alone? 

btw, kudos to the mods and everyone affiliated for improving the community and starting a fest so quickly. everything looks great!
