Birth of the Serpent King by Keira Marcos.

I just finished reading this fic from a previous rec from this community...and I'm already making my way through it a second time. I love the premise of mature!powerful!badass!Harry. And while Draco is powerful!mature!awesome! all on his own as well...the combination of the two of them like this is absolutely killer, especially when Draco has these little alluring moments where he shows this neediness (I'm having some trouble putting this quality to words, so something of that idea) to Harry. Unfortunately, the fic, while a very lovely length of 103k, it's just not enough! I sincerely hope that Keira Marcos decides to do a sequel to continue this, but it doesn't seem to be in the books at this point in time.

So I'd love for some lovely (the longer the better! Seriously. EPIC fics are divine.) recs of Harry/Draco with the above mentioned traits. Thank you so much!

Also, the less of a vindictive bastard Snape is, the better the rec. I have a soft spot for the git, especially as a mentor to either Harry or Draco, but just as a minor character that doesn't actively plot the downfall of HD? Please? I'm making things harder to rec, I know, but...it's Snape! He's such a contradictory asshole, it's hard not to love him. Yeah. This is it. Really. But if you have an awesome rec with bastard!Snape, I'LL TAKE IT ANYWAYS. And...yeah. Love and HD hugs!

A/N: I got the idea for this after watching the video of a guy doing a meme-based proposal to his girlfriend (you can find it online, the title is “Meme proposal—you’re doing it right” if I’m not mistaken. It’s really cute). The first scene is, you got it right, inspired by that scene in Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me” music video.

I suck at writing titles. I also suck at writing drama. But I hope you enjoy it anyway, and go ‘aww’ with me while reading this short proposal fic. *bricked*
