lzay-niight.livejournal.comI LOVE reading H/D (or another paring with Draco) stories that involves children or Mpreg. Its the first thing I latched on when entering the fandom, and I am still quiet fond of it. But, most often then not when dealing with the subject of children, or Mpreg, it usually ends in a fluff fest with nearly perfect (and sweet) children.
Its nice and fun to read, but I was hoping for a more realistic take on it. A really good example of this is: Thing That Change by eutychides. It involves a build up of the children growing, and how Harry and Draco go along with it.
The family isn't perfect.
There are issues, and problems (most unresolved).
It actually mentions the struggles of raising a child (newborn mostly), instead of the story ending as soon as the baby comes (happens most often then not, though I understand these are more about H/D interactions then the baby).
Another good example is: I Don’t Want to Hold You and Feel So Helpless; I Don’t Want to Smell You and Lose My Senses by crazyparakiss. Again, not so perfect H/D and children.
I can't think of anymore other then those two at the moment that involves Mpreg, children (not just there birth, but what happens after), and family life that isn't all fluff or perfection.
I prefer Mpreg or adoption to epilogue compliant children, but I won't fuss if you warn before hand. It would also be a plus if the child(ren) doesn't like Harry or Draco at the beginning if it involves there family coming together.
Please, no Mpreg Harry (unless it's not Draco's child), graphic het, or solely Top Draco stories. If there is switching can you warn for it? If there isn't anything, then that's fine to. I don't mind at all, then.
