My two favorite H/D stories are <a href="http://theguestroom.houseofhobbits.com/hp/sohw.html">The Shadow of his Wings</a> by Mirabella and <a href="http://inkandfakefurs.livejournal.com/tag/killing+moon>The Killing Moon</a>  by <lj user="inkandfakefurs"> (friendslocked). These are both WIP's, and it looks like they are not going to be finished soon, if ever. I was just contemplating this depressing fact and wondering if there are any stories out there that are similar to these two. If you haven't read the stories in question, some of the things they have in common are:

1) Harry is a bad-ass. I don't mean evil or even rude. I mean scarily competent.


2) Draco is not pathetic or a sex addict. He's intelligent, interesting and scarily competent in his own right.


3) There is a plot other than Harry and Draco's relationship and all the lovely sex they have. Action, adventure, duels and clever plot twists are welcome. (The Shadow of his Wings has the best H/D duel ever written, in my opinion).

I love epics, so the longer the better.

PA does have some lovely sex, though. Which is always good.

Doesn't look like it will be finished in the near future. Which is just infortunate.

Am probably a little late but I approve of this sentiment so much. Pathetic!Draco is excessively annoying. ¬_¬ Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so, and I'm off to read those two fics.
