We need more artists!

In light of few artists participating, and also some writers expressing desire to join, we will be transferring most of the slots from artists over to the writer roster!

Therefore,

PROMPT CLAIMING IS GOING TO BE POSTPONED TO JUNE 8, 4:00PM GMT

We are opening up slots for 15 more writers (transferring the 15 slots from artists to writers) and 10 artists UP TO JUNE 8, 3:00PM GMT.

If you are already a participant but have not yet posted the participant banner in your site/journal/DA, please do so now! :D You can get it over here

For all of the approved participants, please take note of your TOP 5 prompt *numbers* (based from the prompts lists after this post here and here). On June 8 you will be replying with the five numbers of your chosen prompts according to your most to least desired prompt.

We are very sorry for the delay, but we hope this will give more time for the participants to choose from the prompts list as well as free up your calendar for that date.

It would also give time for the participants to find a representative who will post their chosen prompts for them if they are not able to go online at the time. Just send us a message of the name of the person who will be representing you before we open the prompt claiming.

Do you realise I have been sat clicking refresh on this community & the two prompt entries since 4.00pm? :P

When you said 4.00pm GMT, I completely forgot about British Summertime, so I came at 4.00pm and have been constantly clicking since :P

In the later description it says that on the 10th of June we reply with our five prompts, but doesn't prompt claiming open on the 8th? :)

LoL! I've been doing the same thing for the past hour and some change. Did the math wrong on the timezone conversion. I am also curious as to the 8th and the 10th, so we claim on the 8th but we post the 10th our top five requests so incase you didn't get your first choice the mods know what your top five are?

We're really sorry about the last minute changes to the schedule. We've been getting requests for more slots in the writer category & we had very few artists that agreed to participate so we thought it best to extend the sign ups for a little bit.

I kinda don't get that top 5 prompt thing...

Isn't it supposed to work like "first come, first serve"? Why do we need a ranking if it's clear that the first one who claims a certain prompt, will get it?

I think it's because the comments are screened. If someone else claims your favourite prompt before you, you won't know, so you'd get your second favourite then XD

The problem is, participants post one after another (as we have experienced in the sign-ups opening), so we'd have to keep refreshing and also we'd need to unscreen comments to reply to them if ever "your prompt has been taken a second before so please choose something else" ^^;;

So we decided on letting participants have their first five prompts so that we can move on their list if ever someone claimed their chosen prompts first :D

We will be crossing out prompts as they are taken but by ranking the prompt numbers in order of preference the higher the chances of getting a prompt you like. If your prompt is taken, we immediately go to the next on your list instead of you having to repeatedly refresh the page. :)

I'm actually kind of relieved, I went outside to bathe my dogs and came back to take another shower when I thought... "Holy Shit! What's the time!" and then I checked my computer and it said 12:49 and I went .... "SHIT!"

But wait! The 8th is a Monday! NO! I have to work on Monday I won't make it! Oh well, I guess I won't get my prompt after all. *is depressed* I hope the ones left are ones I can do.

Hmm, personally it's a good thing the claiming is postponed a bit.(it's early morning here and I should get some sleep now for tomorrow, haha!) And I'm glad to know that we can claim multiple prompts since I have two in mind!:-D

I'm excited I'll get to participate. One comment--prompts 77 and 78 should have links. I left them. Did they not work? I only ask, because they're not common tales like Cinderella or Snow White, and I don't want people passing them up just because they don't know the tales.

Will get back to you with someone to claim my prompts for me on monday. What time will the prompts go up?

If we're posting a list of our top five prompts, how do we know which one you've allocated to us. For example, I'll either sign up at work without looking at the page, or ask someone to proxy for me. So how do I know whether I got the first, second or third on my list, of they're all struck out by the time I look at the prompt list itself? And when i post, I don't know how many comments there are or how up-to-date you are with striking through prompts. So, if two of the ones I selected are struck through, how do I know which one is struck through for me, and which is sturkc through for someone else?

Sorry, I don't know how much sense that makes.
