Title: Pint-Sized Surprises (or Lily Potter is a Pint-Sized Sherlock Holmes)
Prompt: #223 (third in list) where “Draco is a chef and Harry is a food photographer”
Word Count: around 17k or so, but don’t let the length deceive you, trust me, it’s a fairly easy read.
Rating: PG13
Summary: Wherein Lily Potter aspires to be Sherlock Holmes and when that fails, to be Emma from Jane Austen.
Warning:Just one: don’t take this piece too seriously if you want to enjoy it. This story is filled with complicated characters, whose complications are downplayed by ill-timed humour. Also, to [info]khateh, I’m terribly sorry, I’m sure you’re expecting something dark and of depth yet somehow, I’ve managed to procure a story that’s reminiscent of rom-com movies with cheesy harlequin subplots. So, if you must, please do turn a blind eye on seemingly contrived scenes -- and yes, I did steal plot increments from Sleepless in Seattle, Funny Face, and that horrible movie Hilary Duff starred in with Heather Locklear.
