Summary: Harry Potter is a dreamer, an insomniac, a realist, angry, and an all around basket case. He is a coward and a hermit, avoiding everything and everyone around them when they try to get him out of his lifelong funk.
Warnings: This defies canon to the max, both for the Potterverse and RENT. They aren’t British, there are no accents, they don’t visit England. Albus Severus is in it, but not his other siblings. Violence from James and Harry. Draco is a cocaine abuser. Cursing. Child abuse (non-sexual and not touched upon in great detail). Spousal abuse. Blatant misconceptions about certain topics by ignorant people.

Author's Notes: First and foremost I must say that I enjoyed this prompt very much, and had I been given a year it would have become novel length. That said I apologize if it seems to go rather fast, there was a lot of stuff I wanted to touch upon. The HIV/AIDS issue in RENT the musical is what really drew me to it in the first place, and I wish I could have done that issue more justice. My mother has been a sex educator my whole life and we have lost many great people to AIDS. As my E used to say, “It may take me one day, but I won’t let it break me.” I miss him dearly. I want to say I am happy with this, but as of yet I am not sure. For Cats, I hope you like it dear.
