I'm looking for the most classic fics that have graced this fandom. I mean going back years, back before even the forth book came out but I'm in the mood for the classic,good ol',interesting fics.

The ones that make you cry,laugh,giggle,shout and simply remember! The ones that stood out the most and continue to do so.

Forget all this new swish wash s**t and search your heart and pick out your most memorable fics-THE Harry/Draco fics.

I personally find the term "new swish wash shit" offensive from a reader's point of view. Many recent fics are well-written, cannon (and more developed) in character, and emotioanlly moving just as many classics were before the forth book came out.

I do apologize for the way I phrased that, I didn't mean in the slightest that the ALL the recent fics are shite, but I'm merely trying to say that I have came upon far to many that are repeating their storylines. Nothing seemed to be new and fresh. Like the ol' fics were. Everything seemed to be blending and erasing the imagination.

Now I'm not saying that everything is that way. But more often then not,it is. Well in my reading. I didn't mean to offend you and I will apologize once again.

And I have none what so ever a detergent squick haha.
I don't study Latin either(even if I wish to). I am Irish and I have quickly learned not everything I say will make sense. So maybe I such just not speak..Dublinese..haha

Brilliant writing is everywhere I read but I just wish it all stood out more and that is why I posted the entry to expand my horizons-so to speak. And I just simply seemed to have offend a good few of you readers and writers and I excuse myself in shame.

I never meant for all offense. I wouldn't wish for it upon anybody including myself.

Classic to me means the joy of finding such a fic,worth all the sleepless nights,anger at characters,'aww's to escape from your unwilling mouth,terror to fill your bones at scenes,leaving on the edge of seat or simply smiling the whole way through.

All in all,Classic to me means..reading! Though not all old fics are worth the time to read and such, as even new fics are creeping upon us to soon be highlighted as 'Classic's!

I see what you mean, after reading the comments. People - sometimes they assume they know what other people mean and they don't ask for explanation before lighting in to others. Then, after that one person yells it seems to open a flood gate and everyone else starts replying about it also.

I just assumed that it was some phrase I didn't understand, which happens a lot to me and ignored it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and when it comes to reading the opinions vary greatly from hate to love. You happen to be more on the dislike side when it comes to newer stories. That's perfectly fine.

Yeah, just message me. Or you can go through my bookmarks to see if there's something you like. You can narrow it down by warnings and ratings...all that good stuff.

It is one of my all time favorite Harry/Draco fics. No sex again so I cannot say for sure who bottoms.

I have made some fandom blunders myself, and I kind of feel bad that so many people were offended. I don't have a great filter from mouth to brain (or fingers) so I am sure I've made a mistake a time or two. If you didn't mean to offend all you can say is a short sorry and move on. *shrug* I have a lot of friends who are more current writers and I can understand how this might make them feel insecure. Next time please try and take that into consideration.

Just for people out there, since I suppose that some would like a little warning beforehand:

Rec 5 has Top!Draco, but it's seriously well written and there's nothing explicit there, just things like: I topped once or I always imagined myself on top or thing like that

Rec 12 has Top!Draco as well, but it's only mentioned once and it's not extremely explicit...

I just thought that people should be warned, but it's mostly Bottom!Draco and all the stories are quite good.
