Hi guys! I'm a lurker who just decided to crawl out of the shadows....hahaha. Sorry my first post is a fic rec request...but I need more HarryxDraco! They're too delicious. :3 I have to say I just love love love fics where Draco holds a special position in Harry's heart from before they become lovers, and other people know that or can see that.

I guess I'm looking for fics:

1) Fics where Draco and Harry grow up as childhood friends/good friends and remain so throughout Hogwarts (with fights of course). They could both be in the same house or be in different houses. ***emphasis on this please? :D

2) Slightly Dark or Dark fics where Harry is powerful and doesn't really take crap from anyone except Draco (He's a softie for Draco). Draco might be the one who keeps Harry more humane, calm, etc. Intoxicate the Sun by Lomonaaeren was a nice read. 

3) And while we're on that note, any mafia/gang fics? Right-hand man!Draco turned lover sounds really awesome.

-I don't mind switching if its predominantly b!Draco
-No OOC Draco please? He should still be somewhat snarky, definitely witty and sarcastic even though he can be pretty, delicate, vulnerable, etc!
-No mentally-ill!Harry. I've read quite a few of these already and while I did love them, it would make me really really depressed to read another one.
-Mpreg works!

Yes! Thank you! I've only read a few chapters so far but I do like where it is headed. I've seen so many "twin is the Chosen One" stories gone wrong or disappointingly but this seems like a good one!

Only...I do hope there will be HarryxDraco? I'm assuming so yes? Even though the only character listed is Harry.

politely butting in but a quick couple of questions:

is this ultimately a happy ending? I read the author's notes in her account and she said book 7 is the darkest (and is listed under Tragedy/Horror), but does it end up a happy ending at least?

also I'm assuming it's bottom draco (although it seems like there's nothing nc-17 in it so it's probably not state bottom draco or not, but i guess if there's any blatant bottom harry in it)?

I can't tell you for certain (I've just started Book 4), but it seems like very little of the story focuses on romance sadly. Makes sense of course, and the author did say that, but I WAS hoping for a tinsiest bit more. But I've always enjoyed a good plotline with a dash of slash more than a complete romance story. So I'm not complaining much.

As for the roles...I don't think it'll get very sexual. Probably won't get to penetrative sex, so I wouldn't worry about that. If anything though, Harry is most definitely the more powerful one. He is smart, patient, dark-but-good, powerful, etc. Sounds yummy right? :) I can't say anything for certain, but I really don't think there will be bottom!Harry.

oh thank you! I sort of figured it'd be a more top Harry situation if only because his type of chara as described in just the first few chapters seemed very...assuring (like he knows what he wants, which is to protect his brother at all cost), but just wanted to make sure. There were a few cases where Harry's very dominant...until they got into bed, at which point i sorta blanched (to be honest i'm happy as long as it's those two together, but you know, i'll just skip the graphic pieces if it's gonna be bottom harry...mainly 'cause i find it hard to imagine that he'd turn into a little girl in the bedroom? lol i mean i'm okay with switching if both are portrayed in a manly way, but there's a surprising amount of bottom!Harry where Harry's characterization turned into this super shy little girl kinda feel which just made me go "wtf?" I like bottom!Draco with his fair coloring and his personality in the books it's easier to imagine him being a little more submissive, but honestly speaking, i can't stand super bottom!Draco either...i like my Draco with a bite. :P )

oops sorry for the OT there. I like dark-but-good, powerful, smart, and patient Harry, VERY yummy :D Thanks for the info, totally reading it now! :D

P.S. they do end up together at the end right? That is to say, i understand the series isn't meant to be blatantly slash, but later volumes were labeled as H/D, just want to make sure it's not one of those "we're best buds" at the end lol

I'm reading the sixth story right now, so far, it's been Draco topping with the major sex scenes. I also thought it was bottom Draco because of the way the characters were written, but that isn't the case, obviously. I don't know, the story could involve switching, I haven't read far enough to see if there is or not.

This one's AU that has hardcore/powerful!harry who's crazy about Draco. (VERY OOC!draco, as is often the case for this author)

oooh yes! This one's on my read list! (Read list because I'm going on a cruise with my family and I must have something fun to read there) I did wonder about the OOC Draco for a while though. And the fact that he's referred to as Drake? Or something? It'll take some getting used to. Thanks!
