I have never cried while reading a fic. I hav only ever gotten teary eyed....about twice and I can't even remember the fics! Whereas I cry all the bloody time while watching movies so I would like to change my non-emotional state while reading amazing fics. Now I just need your help.

I would like anything with major char death to trouble in paradise just as long as I cry. Yet I don't want to wince with all the angst thrown at Draco or Harry. Anything like the classic romantic sad movies and it's perfectsion. (Notebook & p.s I love you ;] )

So throw it at me,my loves. The fics that made you silently sob in your bedroom trying not to destribe your roomate!

Oh and don't recommend Beautiful World. Read it and... Nothing.

Thank you in advance xx On phone so might be many mistakes ;] x

This one made me cry and raitala's podfic is excellent.

The Price We Pay for Wings by frayach

Words: 13,467
Rating: R
Pairing: Albus/Scorpius, Draco/Astoria, Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione
Tags: Angst, Death, Drama, Podfic (reader = raitala), Unusual job, War!fic, w/Kids

Summary: Books have the power to shape young lives. At least that is the hope of the anonymous author of a best-selling series about a Muggle boy and his best friend on the eve of a world war. But stories do more than just shape the future: they can redress the wrongs of the past as well. But only as long as it’s not too late.

I was going to rec this as well, but you beat me to it. I admit I'm a weepy wimp and read it at 8 mos pregnant, but I cried harder for this fic than I can remember ever doing before. Also, just the writing is top-notch.

I'm a weepy wimp when it comes to death too. I balled my head off when Dobby and Hedwig died in the books.

The Price We Pay for Wings is excellent.

This is my other favorite, definite tear-jerker: http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/cinnamon/BW.html "A Beautiful World"

I wanted to rec this too. I have actually never been able to read it. Just reading the author's notes makes me go teary eyed :(
I still think that it's the kind of story you read with your heart in your throat all along.

Yeah, you’re pretty much misty eyed and sniffling through the whole story, so it’s definitely a story you have to be in the mood for. However, Jamie2109 is a really good writer, so that makes for any tears (^_^)

Yeah, I know she's such a good author, and I really want to read it. As a matter of fact, I have the pdf version on my computer's desktop. But, nope, can't do it. I hope one day I'll be able to, because I know that sometimes deathfics can be so beautiful and poignant. I know I've read one or two that were written for fests, even though the big "Major Character Death" warning told me not to read the. I did and even though I cried like a bitch, I didn't regret one second reading those. Too bad I can't remember which fics these were. But anyway, the point was, you are absolutely right, Jamie's an awesome author. I hope I'll manage to read it one day. When the mood strikes :)

Sorry. It's been so long since I read and saved that story that I didn't remember. I will be sure to add "switching" to the tags.
