Relationship angst

Hello! I'm looking for some new reading materials and since this is a comm that literally worships Draco....

Am looking for relationship related angst but with happy endings of course. For instance:

1. Wherein Draco's heart got broken by an ex-lover (any gender), or
2. Wherein Draco's a victim of domestic abuse, or
3. Wherein Draco's struggling with sexuality issues, or
4. Wherein Draco has issues with commitment or intimacy or trust or abandonment, or
5. Wherein Draco feels he isn't 'worthy' enough for his lover, or
6. Wherein Draco pines and pines away for someone he thinks he can't have

Any Draco-pairings will do, I suppose but please, no icky ones like Lucius/Draco (incest eugh!) or Ancient Geezer/Draco (Dumbledore/Draco or anyone that's grandfather-aged) or Hagrid/Draco or Filch/Draco or Voldermort/Draco or Greyback/Draco or Giant Squid/Draco or Plant/Draco or Centaur/Draco or Mrs Norris/Draco ... seeing the pattern yet?

hm, most of the others I can think of that deal with the above I've read recently that hasn't been from your archive list (*koff koff*) I don't know that I'd really recommend because of the quality issues, serious OOCness, or abandoned-feeling WIP stuff that is common on FFnet. :\

Whoa, that's one really long sentence *blinks*
I have to read that twice to get it LOL. Yeah, a lot of FF.net fics are like that and oh no. Definitely no abandoned WIPs, please. They make me miserable. Especially when they make me fall in love with it only to leave me hanging later on and that's no way to treat a girl now, right? *shakes head despondently*

Threesome fics are... okay I suppose. I still don't know how I feel about those so I can't say for sure I'm 100% fine with them but I don't hate them either. So, thanks for the recs, yeah! Appreciate it much!

Haha sorry. I tend to get interrupted a lot which leads to really interesting run-ons. Andrecognizing me is pretty impressive actually. I'm pretty shy and a huge lurker XD

I agree with you on threesomes btw. I don't get snarey at all and find threesomes kinda difficult. I read the first one linked on a whim and enjoyed it, however so gave the other a shot as well. Both are well written enough to overcome my kneejerk "no way" and,well, the do match the request. Soooo :)

Ah, thank you! Theft of Assets was really good! I've heard of the 2nd one but haven't read it yet. Ron/Draco usually makes me snort in disbelief because my brain goes "A weasel and a ferret, really?!" But sometimes, when they're really well-written and fully canon, I find myself enjoying them too.

I think their relationship is pretty believable in the fic I recced. :) They are both in character, but show changes with time (it's several years after the book events I think). I have long since been converted...;)

You should prompt all these on some fest! (Sorry for my enthusiasm, I just love angst & dark fic heheheh)

For #1 you might want to check on my fic recs on my lj under the tag #content: ship break up
General angst and abuse or past abuse recs are under genre: angst tag and genre: hurt/comfort tag
You probably already read it tho' because mostly I recommended old fics, my recs needs newer fics :P

Your recs are really interesting! Thank you so much for them! You're an awesome contributor to the community! Actually, your recs are the reason my sister's hooked on bottom!Draco and bottom!Draco only - they are the first few recs she read when she first joined the fandom. I'm much more of a deviant compared to her so I like both Top!Draco and Bottom!Draco but still I enjoyed going through your recs :)

Although I mostly rec bottom!Draco fics I used to read any Draco fics too. Finding good bottom!Draco fics amongst a pile of top!Draco fics is a delight for me, feels like treasure hunting XD XD

But lately I read bottom!Draco only. That's why I love this comm, lots interesting search posts and lots of kind people giving good recs. Also new fics from new and old authors.. almost all my new recs are from here now so probably not too helpful for bottom!Draco fans ^_^

Yeah, I was basically almost completely ignorant of the wonderful world of slashiness at that time and her love for bottom!Draco was what made her, "pull" me along too. Because deviancy is addictive and infectious. Somehow she couldn't get me to convert into a 100% bottom!Draco fan though.

Basically, your recs started everything. You reeled her in, then she dragged me along and viola... I'm here :)

I seemed to have the most ridiculous luck in finding bottom!Draco (or Switching!fics but leaning more towards 'bottom-y' Draco) fics. I too have a rec list. It's in my master post at the top of my journal. You might find something interesting there to occupy your time?
