HP Time Travel Fest

Dear Bottom!Draco lurkers, writers and artists,

There's a brand new fest community in the fandom and it's having a FEST!! I know we have a similar Time-oriented Bottom!Draco fest previously but it's TIME TRAVEL and you can never have too many time travel!fics. Especially when there are so many characters you could pair Draco with and without the pesky limits of Time!!

Prompting is now open: 9th April to 19th April. Prompting post here.

Claiming Commences: 20 April, 2012
Submissions Due: 30 June, 2012
Posting Begins: 15 July, 2012

Hi!

Newbie here. Um, 2 questions.

1. Do we need to use a prompting for our story to be legit

2. Is there a set of rules that are meant to be followed.

Er, your question confuses me. Yes, there is a set of rules to follow... but they're not much, really. Just go to the hptimetravel community and read the post titled 'Rules and Information' (if my memory serves me correctly), if you don't plan on writing/drawing for the fest but have some ideas of what would make an interesting time travel fic then read the prompting rules too.

You can leave a prompt or two without intention to claim (for fic-writing or artwork) any of them. If you're a writer or artist and you're interested in accepting a prompt to write a fic or draw, then check out the prompting post. You can't claim the prompts now but you can leave a prompt if you want to. Claiming starts 20th April.

As for whether accepting a prompt makes your story legit... well, it depends. Do you want to join the time travel fest? Or have you already written a fic that's time travel related but not part of the fest? The fest is mainly to propagate new fics in the fandom with time travel as its main plot. So people leave prompts hoping to inspire writers and artists to weave their prompts into their works. But if you've already written a fic without using anyone's prompts, of course it's legit. It's original and it's yours.

If you've written a fic and just wanted to post it up, you can. If it's a bottom!Draco fic, then you can post it here in this community. Before you do that though, please read the rules post.

If you want to post a fic (that isn't related to its current fest) at hptimetravel, well, I'm not sure how that works as you'd need to ask the Mod there. I think you can, but not now - because they're having a fest now. Again, not 100% sure.

Does that make sense?

Newbie as in new to the community. I've been a slash writer for a while. I just have never pulled my socks up and actually created a lj account so I could meet other slash writers out there. =D

Thanlk you for the help. No I've not yet written a time travel fest but I was reminded of an old plot of mine when I saw the hptimetravel fest.

How do I just post up a fic on the community though?
