bottom_draco fest submissions are due in just a little over a month! We'd love to know how you are doing!

If you already know that you will need an extension, now's a good to let us know! We mods don't love last minute panics, it messes with our pretty schedules! However, we do understand that complications sometimes arise.

Even if you're having problems with your submission please talk to us! Communication goes a long way! We're not monsters, we're actually pretty easy to work with. :) All we ask is that you please email us if you need help making the deadline, or if you want to cry or rip apart your work and you just need some love and encouragement! This will not only allow us to assist you, but it will also help us to organize the posting schedule. So if you are having problems, please send us an email and we'll try to find a solution. If it turns out you do need to drop out (which of course like to avoid!), please let us know before the deadline for submissions.

I am writing mine right now :D I ticked "may need more time", but what I really mean is "probably will be done on time". I thought "definitely" was a bit scary... I'll let you know if it looks like I'm not going to be ready in time, though, I promise!

Yes, well, umm, er, cough, ahem.

it seems the prompt I mailed you is not going to work. I have at least 3 other maybes, but can't seem to get started on writing or even plotting any of them.

I don't want to drop out yet, but probably should. Just so much going on right now.

Mine is probably going to be one of those that's is not going to be turned in, or even claimed until the very very very last moment. And then some.

I'm so sorry. i wish I had better news.

I'm writing a bit of it every day, but I am slow!!! I ticked I may need more time, but I will let you know in a couple of weeks if that is the case. I'm hoping to get a finished first draft by then as I need at least 2 weeks for revision/beta...

But I will promise not to drop out.

To be honest, I've been distracted by a lot of things lately, I've been very unproductive this holiday season, and looking at the calendar just makes me scared because I know I don't have much time left. I haven't found a beta and I can't finish only 2-3 days before the submission date because that would be very mean to my beta D: plus, I'll be going out of the country with no connection and no computer, so I can't work on it for about 4 days >.>

Right now I'm nearing the end, but there will be some changes needed. I haven't actually written the ending, some narratives will need to be expanded into scenes, I'll need to refine some of the scenes, like improving the dialogue, such and such. Somehow I keep feeling that I haven't done this prompt justice and reading it only makes me depressed :( I feel intimidated by the many good writers around me, and somehow I feel like I'm going to let the OP down because it deviates a lot from the original work it's based on about halfway through.

Right now, I can only hope that I'll be able to finish it on time, find a good beta, get it beta-read, and manage to make it somewhat enjoyable >.>

And I don't wanna join a fest again T_T it's scary... but well, let's see about that. I'm fickle >.>

Edit: I already typed out a comment and LJ decided to be a brat to me and I had to retype the whole thing, while forgetting what I had originally written... curses...

I have it all plotted and a few scenes started, but I haven't really focused on it yet, as I'm working on my

hp_3somes piece due the thirty-first. After that I will plow through this fic, which I'm super excited about...really, really excited.( Actually, there might even be some artwork to go with it...possibly). So I'm feeling like I'll be done on time.

I am writing something else at the moment, but I have my b!Draco fic plotted out and am excited to write it :) Will let you know a bit closer to the deadline if I might need a short extension!

I said definitely because I think I'm almost done. I just have a horrible case of procrastination with the last bit :D

About half the way through, I think. My trusty beta is off to university, though, very shortly, and I am consumed with that at the moment. I hope to have it completed, beta'd and submitted a little earlier than the deadline, but we'll see! (EEP)

I'm really hoping to be done on time *fingers crossed* I set my own deadline for the 10th so my beta can have at least four days to peruse at her leisure. Somehow, the schools that prepared me for the working world refrained from letting me know that 'part time' never really means 'part time' when you're a coordinator of three separate courses in medicine. *eye roll*. Even now, I've simply taken a break to find the fic submission header when I found the delightful poll that summed up my predicament quite nicely. I really hope I don't have to ask for an extension. I honestly thought three bloody months would be more than enough time. *le sigh*

So I'm really hoping I will finish on time but I have two big bangs and another feast prompt due before this one that are taking all my time so I may need some extra time to get it done and to my beta. But I will try my hardest to get it done in time.
