Hi! This is your friendly reminder that your bottom_draco fest submissions are due in just a little over a month! We'd love to know how you are doing!

If you already know that you will need an extension, now's a good to let us know! We mods don't love last minute panics, it messes with our pretty schedules! However, we do understand that complications sometimes arise.

Even if you're having problems with your submission please talk to us! Communication goes a long way! We're not monsters, we're actually pretty easy to work with. :) All we ask is that you please email us if you need help making the deadline, or if you want to cry or rip apart your work and you just need some love and encouragement! This will not only allow us to assist you, but it will also help us to organize the posting schedule. So if you are having problems, please send us an email and we'll try to find a solution. If it turns out you do need to drop out (which of course like to avoid!), please let us know before the deadline for submissions.

To be honest, I've been distracted by a lot of things lately, I've been very unproductive this holiday season, and looking at the calendar just makes me scared because I know I don't have much time left. I haven't found a beta and I can't finish only 2-3 days before the submission date because that would be very mean to my beta D: plus, I'll be going out of the country with no connection and no computer, so I can't work on it for about 4 days >.>

Right now I'm nearing the end, but there will be some changes needed. I haven't actually written the ending, some narratives will need to be expanded into scenes, I'll need to refine some of the scenes, like improving the dialogue, such and such. Somehow I keep feeling that I haven't done this prompt justice and reading it only makes me depressed :( I feel intimidated by the many good writers around me, and somehow I feel like I'm going to let the OP down because it deviates a lot from the original work it's based on about halfway through.

Right now, I can only hope that I'll be able to finish it on time, find a good beta, get it beta-read, and manage to make it somewhat enjoyable >.>

And I don't wanna join a fest again T_T it's scary... but well, let's see about that. I'm fickle >.>

Edit: I already typed out a comment and LJ decided to be a brat to me and I had to retype the whole thing, while forgetting what I had originally written... curses...

I'd be happy to beta it for you dear for SPaG and general flow and consistency of characters. If you need more than that, have you tried a beta request comm?

I've just posted a beta request post on this comm, as I've done last year. I'll get back to your offer if I don't get anything back from that one, because I need someone who's familiar with my style, which, isn't professional at all :P

Spelling Punctuation and Grammar.

Someone looking for a spag beta is generally looking for someone helping them w the stuff spellcheck won't always get: your/you're, repeated/skipped words, tense shifts, etc. Sometimes they'll also help w general flow of story but they generally will leave the style and plot stuff alone.

Actually, I think I might need more time. I'm currently still out of the country, just lucky I could get wireless connection. I'm scheduled to come back tomorrow but there's a big flood at my hometown atm. I don't know if we can go home or have to bunk somewhere else first. Also even if I csn get home I don't know if I can turn my comp on >.>

Apparently the people in my hometown has predicted a big flood once in 5 years. Last one happened in 2007 but last year there was no flooding. It came this year instead. I left right before the flooding staryed :( I live in Jakarta btw if you're curious n wanna check :P I'll keep you guys updated on the progress of everything

Flood?! Omg, I hope you're ok! Please stay safe! That's the most important thing. You have that extension. How long do you need? Do you think you could submit your work to us before posting starts?
