As we get closer to the fest deadline (just about a month!) we thought we should post our submission guidelines for those of you who are ready to submit your fic/art! If you have any questions, please let us know!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

- When you send your submission please include your username in the email subject as well as fic or art.

- Don't forget to include an lj-cut tag in your story. The lj-cut text should be "The Title of your Fic". (i.e < lj-cut text = "FIC TITLE" >)

- Please check the formatting of your fic to ensure there are manual line breaks between paragraphs. There is a problem with some Microsoft Word settings and you have to double space manually!

- Include all other other html coding that is needed. Please test post your submission in a private entry to your journal before submitting.

- A good way to check to make sure your story is formatted correctly is to post it in a private entry in your own journal. That way you can easily see if there’s anything amiss in your coding/formatting.

- The fic/art header appears below. Please include your header in both the .doc and the email.

In the header, do you want the prompt link going to the comment where the prompt was left? Or to pg 1/pg 2 of the lists on DW?

If the first answer, a link to the post that has everyone's submission of prompts would be handy - I have no clue where people left prompts, just where I claimed from.

er, and while I'm asking 10 bajillion questions, one more:

< b >Prompt:< /b > < a href ="COMMENT LINK URL" >PROMPT #< /a > < i>number

or

< b >Prompt:< /b > < a href ="COMMENT LINK URL" >number< /a >

(or more specifically, is the little bit in italics at the end a note, or where we're supposed to include the actual number of the prompt? Or am I overthinking?)

(shaddup, I know I'm overthinking. It's that or come up with title and summary...)

(*cough* I mean-- >.> )

(edit because I'm apparently worse at adding spaces to code to turn them into not-code than I thought)

I never saw a prompt claiming post? Dammit, wanted to be part of this fest *pouts* - I'll just have to lurk and read and comment...

I'm on my phone so I can't give you the link but you can still claim a prompt and submit a story/art!! Claiming is never ending for this fest.

Posting starts in a month so you'd have some time and if you needed more maybe the mods would give you an extension. Think about it. The prompts were so great.

I've decided I would be pushing it to make this fest, so I've thrown my hat into the ring to beta instead! Best of luck everyone!

All right. I'm preparing my submission. I see you want me to code it with an lj-cut and I have no problem doing that, but my fic is long. Will it be posted in this comm and will it all fit in one post, or will you mods take care of splitting it into parts? Or are long fic hosted elsewhere and linked?

Hello dear, for the code, well... since your fic is long we will be posting it on our mirror site in DW so do you think you could make it the code for DW instead? As for splitting the fic into parts, that would depend on how long your fic is and if it would fit into one DW post. (Long fics will be posted on DW, short fics in LJ)

It's only 21k .... so not horribly long. I don't know the DW code. Want to let me know how it's different than the lj one? Then I'll fix it

The cut code for DW is < cut > or < cut text = "TEXT HERE" >, then close it with < / cut >

Er, I just saw this. When I submitted, I used lj cut code. Do you want me to change to DW cut code and resubmit with a note? Or will you change on your end?

*wince*

*assumed DW read LJ code*
