I loved this story! I love how you adapted it from the movie; how you kept the plot but gave it such original twists. And the way Draco started to change, how it became more than just getting back with his ex, but more about himself. I love your Harry, too. How he was kind of shy but confident, how he helped Draco without being all over-protective. I absolutely loved the ending, how everything turned, it was perfect. <3

This fic was so good! I loved the adaptation from the movie but it could definitely stand on its own :) The pace was perfect and I enjoyed how Draco slowly became more confident with his friends and Harry in a post-war world.

I was all 'I'm not reading any more fic, I have too much to do!' and then I was like BUT WAIT LEGALLY BLONDE so I HAD to read it (duh!) and I'm so glad I did!
Awesome job, this was so freaking funny and warm and fuzzy.

Lovely fic, I really enjoyed this fic! Draco and Harry were brilliant. I have to say, though, that Majorca isn't a country, it's never been; it belongs to Spain.

From: [identity profile] fantasyfiend09.livejournal.com
Thank you so much. I know that Muggle Majorca is part of Spain, but I never imagined that there was a perfect correlation between Muggle and wizarding governments. I wanted to create an island of rogue wizards who don't answer to a wizarding government (or care about the nationality of the Muggles on the island), but I guess I didn't explain it very well.

This was wonderful. I loved Draco's voice, and 'Draco proving his worth' is one of my favourite thing.

I especially enjoyed the secondary characters like Susan and Ernie; they had a lot of depth and felt very real. <3

Thank you so much. I'm glad that Susan and Ernie came across well. I always wanted to give them more stage time, but it didn't feel right with Draco's pov being egocentric. :)

Oh, I loved this! This worked really well!

Also- I really like you're style of writing and the way you word things. This is basically just a list of lines that I really liked:

"He had been the shining star the week they reviewed Occlumency—Thank you, Auntie Bella, you old cow" I love that Draco would refer to her as an old cow :D

"With two minutes to spare, Draco finished his final sentence in scrawl that would make his childhood tutors cry." LOVE THIS.

"Two war heroes and a Death Eater. It sounded like the title of a play or the beginning of a joke. It felt like a joke." :(

"Draco might—not that he was admitting to anything—have cast a Crotch-Crushing Hex on Macmillan after the pompous arse implied that Umbridge had been pegging Draco in fifth-year."EWW hahaha

Also-I love the idea of a Slowing Spell.

So, in other words, I really enjoyed your fic !! Kristen

I loved this - I thought I'd already left a comment, I meant to as soon as it posted. It was sweet, and funny, and I loved the way you described Auror training. I liked your Draco, he was wonderful! It was great how he judged everyone on appearances - it was such a great way to signal so much about his character. And watching him change was great too. And I do like your lovely Harry, too. :)

Oh, wow, I loved that so much! I started it expecting it to be very light-hearted and humorous, and I was so pleasantly surprised by how touching it turned out to be! I laughed out loud repeatedly but also found myself clutching my chest in an attempt to contain all of my feelings, and that's exactly what I want in a fic :) I adored how awkward Harry was about finally confessing his feelings (he would keep it to himself until an opening like that) and how Draco's motivations shifted so subtly that he didn't even remember that he'd come because of Rigel in the first place. The descriptions of training and how the different trainees related to each other really rang true for me, particularly Draco's respect for Susan and his eventual friendship with Ernie. This story easily could have been just a bit of fluff founded on Draco acting on a random whim, but you crafted a believable world that made a lot of sense to me and felt true to canon. Lovely work, and a very satisfying read!

*breathes* I LOVE THIS!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

This was pure delight to devour! By the time I reached the end I was all warm and melty and so happy I could burst! I love the way you've decided to go with this story! Naturally, with Legally Blond and Reese Witherspoon being the epitome of cuteness as far as rom coms go, the easy (and natural) way to go would be to give our darling Draco a complete makeover and transform him into the fluffiest blondie ever. But, no. You went a completely different and original way with this! You've kept to the main Legally Blonde plot but you've made it so canon, so fitting into HP universe and at the same time with such original twists to the plot that it became its own story! I love it!

I love that you made Draco such a flamboyant darling, but at the same time, quiet and resilient and stubborn and still so messed up by the war and its aftermath. I love the way you let us witness how Draco gradually but surely blossomed into his own person and how despite his insecurities, he pulled through with Harry's help. Your Harry was amazing too! I love that he was shy and often flustered around Draco but strong and confident as an Auror. I love how you've made it obvious but in a subtle way how smitten Harry was with Draco. I love that we could all see Harry's feelings before Draco did! ♥

P.S. Aww! Thank you for the sweet note ♥ *hugs you tight, Mystery Author* I absolutely ♥ this lovely fic!!

Oh, hon, thank you so much! I really wanted to make something you'd like (not just because it's your prompt and fest, but because you are amazing!), and I am so very pleased you liked it! I played with having Draco be more ditzy and sweet, but this Draco demanded to be heard. I am so glad it still worked for you. I'm also delighted that you saw what I was trying to do with Harry. I wanted him to be smitten without being weak or too insecure.

Thank you so much for a great prompt and for such a flattering comment!! *glomps you* ♥ ♥

Legally blonde is one of my comfort movies... only having it Drarry-fied could have made it better. The bit where Draco thinks that Malfoys are forever is priceless:)

I really enjoyed this story. I liked how you managed to convey the vulnerability of Draco's isolated position without at all making him fragile and pathetic. He maintained his distinctive stubborn, slightly bratty personae throughout and you managed to convey the way he matured as the story progressed. Really nice, thank you!

Whoaaaa Legally Blonde adaptation! Also, this is probably a bit OT, and I've no idea whether it was intended, but -- I love the double meaning of your title, especially when it's taken out of the context of the original quote! I've a kink for good wordplay :)

Finally found a bit of time alone to read your fic! I totally enjoyed it!! I don't think there are that many fics that go into the process of Auror training, and those that do typically cast Harry and Draco in the same class, as partners.

I liked how Draco slowly started to gather friends and allies through his dogged determination (such a far cry from why he had joined the Aurors in the first place), and I loved Harry's open admiration and attraction towards him. My favourite parts of the fic is when Draco makes Susan Bones a good friend, and the highlight of the Auror raid at the end <3 Wouldn't have minded reading the entire year of courtship either ;) Loved this fic

Raitala already said what I was thinking, and also the Slowing hex was a great idea, and i love the exchange between H & D right after... "I was on my knees when I cast" & "it was a request, you said please" hahaha, indeed!

I love this fic. I've read it three times, and it gets better every time I read it. When I saw that it was adapted from Legally Blonde, I was expecting Draco to be just like Elle in the movie, all spoiled and kinda ditzy. Instead I got a well-nuanced and characterized Draco.

I love how you focused on Draco the character first and not on the love story between Harry and Draco - you showed how Draco had to grow up first before opening himself up to love.

I also adored the how you made parallels between Draco's ex and Harry, with the former underestimating and patronizing Draco and the latter allowing Draco to take risks and respecting him as a person. And poor Harry! Even though he doesn't get as much screen time here, he is still in-character for me. I loved the fact that he allowed Draco to face his challenges alone; only standing up for him when the situation was hopeless.

Thank you so much for this story!
