Your mental casting of Bottom!Draco?

bottom_dracoJust for fun, I want to ask the community: Who do you cast in your head as Draco (and Harry) when you're reading fics?
Do you:
My mind is very visual, so I'm always playing attention to things like these, and I'm curious what you guys usually do/think.
Do you:
- Go with movie canon and its casting?
- Have your own favorite actors/models as your Harry/Draco, especially in future fics?
- Or, like me, have you bypassed casting human beings at all and went straight to fanart depictions?
Cause for me, it's the third option, and depending on the mood of the fic, these are my mental Draco:

Ooh, that's really pretty, I think the first one looks a lot like Draco, with the grey eyes and pouty lips. I haven't heard of that kind of ball-jointed dolls before, though a friend of mine used to be into Super Dollfie. I'm guessing this is something like that, yeah?
Do you have a BJD doll model for Harry?

You could just as easily change their eyes green and hair brown/black, and give them glasses. To find one that looks similar to Harry from the start is a bit more difficult, for me. (-_-")

Date: 2013-09-14 06:49 pm (UTC)Your right Lucas the main Lucas is more like Harry,but in an episode of one tree hill Lucas's role and Nathan's roles were reversed and he really took the snobbish ritch to a whole new level he makes a great Draco also have you seen The house of Wax he was perfect as Nick an grade A-hole. If Lucas grew up the way Draco did he would be as close to being Draco as anyone else. In a more americanised version.

Date: 2013-09-15 10:55 am (UTC)The way I imagine them differs sometimes, but I'm more concerned with them fitting their canon descriptions in the book rather than making them drop dead gorgeous. Nothing wrong with that either, it just works better for me this way.

Ooh, Hank as Harry! I used to have a mental image of gangly!awkward!Harry too, so the way Hoult looked like in First Class kind of fits that image (just add more rage and world-wariness for Harry). The movie and Daniel's height seem to influence people in that he gets written as short a lot of the time, too. I dunno. I'm kind of attached to my gangly!Harry. The book never mentioned heights in details. He's not as tall as Ron, ofc. I never considered Bale as older Harry, but with all the brooding he did in the Batman movies, yeah, I can see it.
I prefer not to comment on the receding hair thing. (what receding hair? I have no idea what you're talking about. My DH has no epilogue in it XDD)

Yes, yes, this, i love him as Harry too <3 Did you know that Hoult's character from Skins makes out with a blond guy? That's a visual bonus for me, whee <3
The book mentions Harry's height specifically once, that I can remember. In DH when he resurrects his parents in the forest scene, it says James and Harry are exactly the same height now, and since we know James is tall and thin, gangly!Harry is more possible than Daniel Radcliffe, who is short and kind of broad for his height. Ron is ofc. taller than Harry, but I imagine Ron as really tall anyway XD
Yeah, lol receding hair isn't for everyone, I know
