[fic search] (sort of) cheating!Harry

Hi, I'm having trouble remembering this fic that has been gnawing at the back of my head all day. It is H/D, with established relationship. I'm most certain they have children together. The main theme is that Harry somehow 'cheated' on Draco, I think Harry had a co-worker who was pursuing him despite knowing that he was married. If I'm correct they kissed at one point, Harry didn't want to cheat on Draco but he didn't actually stop the kiss either, but then he felt awfully guilty about it. He told Draco at some point and Draco was very mad, and there might have been threats of divorce. It was a happy-ending story, however.
Does it ring a bell to anyone?

Thanks, this comment means a lot - especially after the not so pleasant one I recently received on AO3. *hugs* ♥

Thank you. This comment means a lot - especially since I've received several negative comments since this search was posted. *sigh* hearts;

exactly and really it's fine. Just bruised my ego a touch. But since the bulk of the comments are positive - I'll focus on that.

My biggest issue is that the latest one felt the need to tell a few commentors on AO3 that they were wrong for liking it. *headdesk*

This story would have been really great, even if Draco eventually forgave Harry...until the author did this:

[When he finally turned to leave the room, he found his mother standing in the doorway, watching him. But instead of commiseration on her face, he saw disappointment.

"Oh, my darling," she murmured. "I love you, but sometimes you can be such a fool."]

WHY!? How is DRACO the fool!!?? Did his mother completely miss were his trust had been betrayed? But come to think of it, her opinion shouldn't hold much, since she was the one to cling on to Lucius even when it was obviously as sinking relationship. The fact that she wants Draco to do the same is just pathetic.

This really ruined the story for me. And I am sick in tired of seeing stuff like this happening so damn often in the HP fandom.

For ONCE, can Harry be seen as the person in the wrong, as the bad guy!? Can everyone be on the same page that what he did was wrong, and not be angry that he shed a single tear, period. It's gross, okay? Gross. Butt kissing was never pretty to begin with, but it just gotten ridiculous in this fandom. We get it. He was the Hero, he was the savior!

But it is about damn time the he sunk a few times, and for once not get offered a million in one hands to help him up, or to give him excuses.

Point is, Harry cheated. But somehow, I get the feeling that Draco is the bad guy for not forgiving him on the spot. Nice, just lovely. The fact Draco is so 'in love' that he won't be able to survive a year without Harry, because he would be so miserable, and never find love again, since Harry was is just so awesome, etc. etc.

It is tiresome. It gets really tiresome.

I have to say that I agree with you on that.

sooo true, i completely agree with you!! so frustrating when harry did something bad and draco has to immediately forgive him, just because harry saw his mistake. trust is something precious and once broken, can't and shouldn't be that easily regained!

Your request sort of reminds me of this fic:

When You're Gone by Heidi

Word Count: 49,089
Rating: R
Pairing(s): Draco/Other(s), Harry/Draco, Harry/Other(s), Theo/Pansy
Tags: Angst, Blaise Zabini, Break-up, Divorce, Drama, Drinking, Established Relationship, Hermione Granger, Hurt/Comfort, Infidelity, Jealousy, Lawyer/Solicitor, Malfoy Manor, Marriage/Bonding, Quidditch, Reconciliation, Ron Weasley, St. Mungo’s, Terry Boot, w/Kids

Summary: Something that once was beautiful is about to turn ugly. Does real love conquer all or is it just a load of crap when reality kicks in? And not all things are always what they seem.
