Hello all,

I'm looking for some general fics:

1. Fics where Draco speaks a foreign language.

2. Fics where Draco has a friendship with one of the Weasley brothers. (Bonus if their frienship puts Harry on edge).

3. Fics where Draco has a bit of a quirk. Maybe he believes in nargles or he collects odd things.

Any pairing is ok.

Hello! I can give you a couple of recs.

for #2, there was a WIP (which may be abandoned) by oldenuf2nb called Dragon Wings where Draco and Charlie were lovers in Rumania, and Charlie dies, and Harry is there investigating (and will become involved with Draco).

For #1 there should be various ones but all I can thing of now are a couple of H/D fics of mine which have small bits where Draco speaks other languages. In one Draco is a widower who'd had a French wife (a funny spunky woman named Delphine who died years earlier), and had been raising his daughter in France before moving back to England and running into Harry. He speaks very little French in the fic, just a couple words with his daughter, except for a bit with the tapestry - fixing the Black family tapestry becomes one of the themes of the fic. It's called The Tapestry of Kinship.

I also wrote a fic called Beekeeping where Draco is a low-budget world traveler who tries to pick up a bit of the languages of places where he goes. He runs into Harry in Malawi (Africa) and speaks a word or two of Chichewa, a local language there. He also has a quirky attraction to the letter Z.

Oh, and there's another of mine where he speaks a few words of Finnish, when he's apprenticing to a wizard in Finland - it's called Sparks from the Fox's Tail.

For Draco with quirks, saras_girl is a great author. If you are up for a LONG and lovely fic (300 K and worth it!), try Turn, in which middle-aged Harry stumbles into an alternate universe in which he and Draco are lovers. That Draco is rather obsessive-compulsive about his drawers and cupboards but so generally lovely that Harry accepts it.
