Author Notes: This was written for the hp_creatures fest 2011 for izzie_frutas who gave the prompt of Daybreakers where, 'in 2019, the most precious natural resource, is us'. It was an awesome movie. I had to have it. Now that the reveal is up, I can post it here. It's quite large, so I split it up.

Summary: Twenty years after the Dark Lord’s death, his mark has been left upon a world that is now much different. With the economy in the drain and a new ruler of the food chain, there doesn’t seem to be much hope, especially when there isn’t enough food to go around.
