Hello Bottom!Draco Members: A Community Update

Hello members!

So here are some of the things we would like to announce:

1. We would like to remind you that despite the site declaring its status as currently on hiatus, this does not mean that everyone is restricted from creating posts for bottom!Draco discussions, bottom!Draco fic searches, and bottom!Draco recommendations (after all, a lot of fest communities had just concluded their current fic fests).

2. Please view the possible layout to be implemented within this community, by dropping by the prototype journal: hp_bottomdraco.

3. If you missed the post regarding the new rules and posting format, please view: this link.

4. We would like to point out that if any of you have complaints or suggestions, please do not hesitate to voice them out--whether in this post or in the previous posts. Above everything else, we value each community member's satisfaction hence we are trying to create a smooth-sailing community environment that will cater to all your fandom preferences. However, we do have a tiny bit of request: if you do have complaints, please do not forget to voice them out in a diplomatic manner. We assure you that no complaint or suggestion is left unheard, as mentioned, we have the community's best interest. We will always make it a point to respond in the most amicable manner as possible so please, just because we are the new mods does not mean we do not know what we're doing and we don't deserve at least, an ounce of respect. Unwarranted attacks and wanks will not get us anywhere hence it will not be tolerated in this community--whether it is directed to a mod or to a community member. Also, it is important to note that if you wish to concoct a rule, make sure it is a rule that can be enjoyed by the entirety of the community and not just in favour to your own individualistic needs.

And also, we should let everyone know somewhere that the hp_bottomdraco is the prototype, so they shouldn't add it as friend... ^^;

If we are going to post the fest fics there then people *are* going to want to join the community to be able to get updated a lot and stuffies. It'll be too hard. Let's keep it at this comm.

Prior to receiving a nod of approval from simmysim a month or so ago regarding our service to revamp the community, we made the other community simply because we were desperate and we haven't received a response. We wanted a community wherein the members were active, the rules were set, and the definitions were clear--so yes, we took drastic measures.

But not drastic enough as we didn't launch it yet--we formulated rules, we aired out concerns (the constant recommendation of top!Draco fanfiction and the unclear definition of submissive/bottom words), and thought of a new look. Because simmysim held auditions and eventually, gave the post to one of our mods, we decided to (quite logically) abandon the new community we've made and use it to test layouts and post mod-related topics. We figured, at least we won't have to bother the members with the constant lay-out changes--hence the term prototype because whatever is implemented there first, once approved, will be implemented here.

Right now, the plan is to use the hp_bottomdraco community as a host for the fic and art fest--then post links in this community that will direct to entries posted over there. :) That remains a plan still, however.
