Hello! I've never posted here before but I would like to recommend a fic to you all if I may :)

The Empty House by [livejournal.com profile] hollycomb (Harry/Draco, R)

The writing is superb and the characterization of Draco is masterful; this is the Draco I am always looking for, and the one I wish I could write. It's an AU, loosely based on the premise of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The war is ongoing and Harry is injured in battle and drags himself into a cottage that appears mysteriously in the forest. It's not a light fic by any means (don't read it if you don't like angst), but I found it extremely moving and a fascinating exploration of Harry and Draco, and what they are to each other, and what they have the capability of being. Oh, and Draco most definitely bottoms :)

*repost cus I is smert*

I did. I thought it was the goldest gold on the block. For some reason I find stories that have realistic endings like that far more satisfying than ones that have unrealistic endings.

No further comment from me so that I don't ruin the ending for EVERYONE lol. Sorry asdjhk =D

Read the story and I'm glad you recced it. It's a beautiful piece of work that needs to get around the fandom--it's well written and poignant, everything you would want in a story. I fell in love with it immediately after three lines, and I think, my love for it hasn't rubbed off even past the end. I'm still thinking about it, thinking about the ending. It's absolutely beautiful and thought-provoking.

That is true! Shattered is an apt enough word to describe the emotion I felt after reading the story. I recced it to a good friend and she was all: "God, I love the author, I've known her from Supernatural." No surprises there, talent, talent. :3

:< Also, all of us were disappointed that you couldn't join the fest. :c I mean, we're all (99% at least) avid fans of your works but we understand, I mean hypothetically, two works tied to Disney is indeed a lot, even if they're all timeless, well-written pieces. We're hoping though, that you'd be willing to join the next fest (whenever that'll be) or at least, continue to write more bottom!Draco goodness or churn a bottom!Draco masterpiece out soon. :D

Is it bad that I'm actually ecstatic that you replied? :\ *end fangirl mode*
