fic rec and author question

Hey guys, I just read Cheryl Dyson's "Paradigm", which was quite an enjoyable read though I was rather surprised by the switch top in chapter 9 and chapter 10. She seems to have quite a collection of fanfiction and I'm hoping they're all as good as Paradigm, but I'm not too eager to be surprised again.

SO, I was wondering if anyone had read her stories before and could let me know which ones are switch, which ones are bottom!draco, and which ones are...not.

Oh, and Paradigm is a rentboy!draco, auror!Harry fic. It's really very good and enjoyable, just if you're squicky about bottom!Harry, you should probably skim over the explicit portions of chapters 9 and 10.

(And and, about the tags, I'm not sure if I should tag this as Cheryl Dyson as there isn't a tag already for that author? I'll just leave it unless told otherwise then.)

it's true. Paradigm was good, and you're right I was surprised about the switch too :( But Draco was pretty bottom, I remember.

Anyway, can't help you there since after the switching surprise I stayed away from her fics >_<

Though I can tell you that the comm only tags authors/artists if they're posting their own fics/art. The comm doesn't require members to tag authors/artists in fic searches/fic recs :)

WELL at worse, I'll email the author and if that is not fruitful, I'll dive in and figure it out myself. And I can make a list of my own as to which ones are bottom!draco and which ones are not. :)

I've read a few of her fics and she's always seemed nice and approachable to me. You might try PM'ing her about fics you think you might want to read and maybe she'll give you a heads up?

I will definitely do that, then! I had considered it before, but it felt a little awkward to email her and ask, "oh I love your fanfics but bottom!Harry is kind of scary to me so could you tell me which ones of yours isn't?" I'll have to figure out a better way to word it, hahaha.

Eh, I'm sorry. I"m not sure when I asked whether her writing sucks or not. I just wanted to know which ones were bottom!draco, which ones were switch top, and which ones were not either. In fact, I believe the only thing I ever said in terms of her writing skill was that I thought her fanfic was really enjoyable, so I'm not sure what part it is that was offensive.

If you could point it out for me, I'd really appreciate it because I'm honestly a bit confused right now.

It's a lot nicer to ask for people's favorites of her fic rather than asking people if what she writes sucks, as you are too lazy to read it yourself. You should reword this request. Oh, yeah, and I am really sorry if what I wrote OFFENDED you. Whether you meant to or not, it's careless words like this that are driving some of the better authors out of fandom.

kurafufu, your fic search is completely legitimate and I would suggest you ignore this person's rant. I believe she/he did not read the content of your post thoroughly before commenting hostilely.

Honestly, I am as confused as you. But how rude. She could do some apologizing.

Might be her reading skills are lacking, I mean you only asked which of dysonrules' fics are bottom!Harry or switch!Draco. What's so wrong about that? This is a bottom!Draco community after all.

Ahaha, thank you. ;; I'm glad I didn't really offend anyone. Even if it did seem like she hadn't actually read my post before commenting, I was afraid that if I'd offended on person I might have offended other people as well. So thanks for letting me know I wasn't in the wrong!

From what I've read of her stories most of them are bottom Draco, I was suprised by the switch in Paradigm, it was very out of character. You are safe to read her Harry Potter fics =]
