Three things....

1.  I want to do an mpreg/children fest but I don't know how.  Does anyone know of any resources on how to run a fest succesfully or a sort of fest running for dummies?


2.  Does anyone want to help me do this fest?  I feel like it would be alot of fun and would give the community a fresh batch of mpreg/children fics to awww and ooohhh over. 


3.  Is there any interest in doing a fest like this where there is mpreg or there are children through other means?

1. You could check metafandom. There were some discussions about fests not too long ago. Take a look at their del.icio.us account, it's all neatly tagged.

Thanks for the help and I could use all the assistance I could get for this...Though that also depends on how many people actually sign up and how it is run. It should be fun though and not too restrictive...After all a lot of people are weary of mpreg.

What I think you could do as well, is just PM a few people who have mod a fest before. They probably would be happy to answer some of your questions. Maybe contacting the mods who had done the hd_inspired fest is a great way to start, since they have done a mpreg fest before!

I'm intrested in this fest! I love the theme! :3 So I hope you'll be able to pull it of! :D If you need any help I'll be willing! :D

Actually I just noticed on hd_inspired that they're not planning any fest dealies until next year. You could approach the guys who run that community and see if they were interested in you running an mpreg fest for them? It could work, maybe.

Anywho, if you get something sorted, I'd be interested in helping you run it (although I have no experience at all running a fest, I wouldn't mind finding out!)

It might be best to work on an existing community for this fest. I think there's the hp_mpreg (which I saw you post on already) that you can ask to hold a fest on so you won't have to make a whole new community. Just approach the maintainer like we did for this comm ^__^ Fests are usually a good way to promote your community, and since there is already an HP Mpreg community, it would be easier to collaborate with them :D

Since its the first time, and testing the number of people in the fandom, go for invites first. Ask those who are adept at writing mpreg and children fics for help to promote the fest, then go for volunteer participants. it's really a long and tedious process that cannot be done by one person only, so find co-fest mods, preferably those who already participated in one before... :D

It would, admittedly, be harder than other fests because some fans are squicked by the notion. IMO, I would love to read preggy!Draco fics myself... so if you push through I would be glad to go through the submissions 8D
