Wow, what a great take on this fairytale. I really like the way you play with what Draco thinks he sees and what everyone else sees. Bitchy!Ginny is fun, too. Nice job!

His schoolmates recoiled from him, but a few Ravenclaws drew closer in scientific curiosity.

I laughed so hard at that line; this was such a cool read!

Wow. That was so well written! What a great spin on the Ugly Duckling. I wondered how it could be that he was so damn ugly, but it was just his own mind. Brilliant. I hate angst, but I couldn't stop reading this one. I felt so bad for him! I loved it, Mystery Author!

OH MY, I love this! Although I really, really want to smack Lady Malfoy on the head, and smash Ginny's head to nearest wall. I'm curious about Lucius, if I remember correctly, Lucius was not mentioned at all, only when Narcissa said that it was Lucius who prepared Draco's name.

Well, I really like this story. Love it even. Great job, author!

Actually, Lucius was mentioned once more: When Draco thought of how his father used to imply that his son wasn't a human-being. So, Lucius wasn't a big support, either, unfortunately...

Thank you for reading and reviewing, dear! :)

Hehe. Well, Draco does have a cute, pointy nose. Couldn't keep from mentioning it in the fic.

Wow! That was amazing! Harry was perfect in this; just what Draco needed - the layers of self-doubt and angst falling away to reveal the beautiful boy beneath. I really enjoyed being in Draco's head. And Narcissa's inclusion in this was a wonderful touch.

I LOVE. Draco thinking that he was ugly and how he reacted to the world was LOVELY. Though a little sad and a little painful.

Ginny being a b**** was much appreciated since who like Ginny anyways?

Draco seeking artificial brightness with his gems was rather heartrending. Such a poor insecure boy.

Love how Harry came out with him after Ginny the b**** got on his case. *laughs* Yes. I liked this. Very much so.

Wow, that was surprisingly touching and heartfelt. Awesome. I love how you started off with Narcissa and Draco, which you could totally just imagine happening, and then it switches to Hogwarts where Draco is (IMO) really IC. What a great start to the fest!

that was such a wonderful read. narcissa's disdain and the school's (especially hermione and pomfrey) derision provided a painful background to draco's resigned tone. i like the carefully injected witty quips which showed draco still struggling to hold on to something. the desperation and loneliness during the Halloween ball created a beautiful backdrop to the mystery and passion brought by harry. loved the ending, so hopeful and loving.

I adored and loovee the angsty portions and the moments after the ball. Although i wished there was more background on Draco's bringing up. Nevertheless it was a GOOD READ! =)

I also wish I had added more about Draco's life before Hogwarts and how he was treated by his own family. I might do that if I ever re-post the fic.

It was a really fresh take on original story. And I loved the way you wrote about Draco's transformation from "ugly" and "beautiful", and how this process involved Harry. It was simply wonderful.

I love how despite Draco thinks he's ugly, he still thinks he's better than everyone else. That is just so like him! And everyone's treatment of Draco was painful to read, which made the ending that much sweeter.

Thank you for a lovely read, mystery author!~

I love how you managed to make us believe in draco, the ugly ducking, who, of course wasn't ugly at all!

Loved the hint of the magical fairytale and Draco being saved by his prince.

Wonderful! Great story - how Draco was the "ugly duckling" but Harrys love transformed him into the beautiful "swan". Just great. :)
