Harry/Draco Rec Request

Hello, people!

I've been searching through H/D fics for what feels like ages and I keep coming across a lot of garbage that I'd rather not waste my time on.

Here are some things I'd like to see, and if you have a fic that fits any of these categories, I'd love it if you would rec!

1) Plotty goodness that does eventually resolve sexual tension with satisfactory detail!  Call me a pervert (lovingly), but I always get disappointed when the big climax is sort of vague and anti-climactic.  I love love love sexual tension so thick you could die, but I need it satisfyingly resolved!
2) Emotional responses to physical stimulation.  Know what's boring?  Sex that's just hands and lips and cocks and arseholes.  I want to know how these things affect our boys mentally and emotionally.  dragon_charmer 's Resolution and dysonrules ' Paradigm do this beautifully.  I want the sex to make me cry from its intensity.  This is so sadly lacking in most fic.  When it hurts your chest to read, it's a damned good sex scene.  (Beware, if you haven't read Resolution yet, it is a WIP that will likely never be finished.  So, so ridiculously good, but also cursed by incompletion...)
3) In-character characters or believable out of characterness.  Draco is a brat.  That's why we love him.  If he's not a brat, that's totally fine, but only if we believe the transformation.
4) First time.  I just don't dig "established relationship" fics.  The chase is what's exciting.
5) I have a real soft spot for virgin and not gay boys.  They're not always attracted to men, they're just attracted to each other for some weird and unsettling reason.  More tension! More inner turmoil!


A few things:

I'm fine with all eras, but Hogwarts is my favorite.  I love switching, so switch me up (or don't, either way).  I NEED WELL-WRITTEN FIC!  I can't handle poor spelling and grammar and really cheesy phrasing.  I HATE SLUTTY BOYS!  I hate my boys with anyone but each other, though I will deal if the fic is truly amazing.  Please no WsIP unless they're entirely written but not entirely posted (on a posting schedule).  Too many times burned.

I'm kind of fickle.  I'm hoping you wonderful folk have some good stuff for me!

Thank you, Intentionally Anonymous, for being needlessly combative. I didn't realize how long the post had gotten, though I get longer uncut posts in my flist often.

Aah! Thank you! I just started on majinsakuko's rec list last night. Kind of frustrated me and actually compelled me to write this post. It's not a very picky list and just kind of has all kinds of crap. Quality is not really a requirement to be on that list, it seems. I'm still working my way through it.

Everything else, though, is new to me, so I'm very excited.

Thanks for the heads up. I most prefer switching in my fics, but I can do either exclusively topping. I just got sick of the way one particular writer made Draco this I Am Draco Malfoy And I Will Not Take A Cock Up The Arse Because That's Beneath Me, etc. d-bag. I haaaate that characterization and so came to this community.

Hands down my favorite HD fic ever, ever. And I've read tons of fics in this fandom so I don't put that label lightly ^^;; Mira is a master of world building and character developments. When ppl demand proof that some fic writers can write as good as (or even better than) JK, I pointed them her way.

One thing, it's not Hogwarts-era, although they are both professors teaching in Hogwarts. Hope you'll like this too

I'm cool with post-Hogwarts era, too. My deep love lies in Hogwarts era, but Harry/Draco is perfect any time.
