I can't stop staring ... Somehow, seeing mpreg!Draco makes this all so much more real than reading mpreg stories. Fascinating gender-bending pics. Thanks for posting.

As for fics to go with those, well ... I can highly rec: eutychides, Things That Change.
Bottom!Draco through and through, but warnings for dark, oppressive domesticity and unredeemed!Draco. There are awesome (non-canon) kids and the most gorgeous H/D sex. Some people have major issues with this story. I can only disagree with the opinion that the relationship between Harry and Draco "feels shallow". It doesn't to me at all. It's not the most healthiest of relationship, but well, hello, Harry/Draco?! It's enemy slash at its finest, and taking H/D to its mpreg limits and beyonds. To me, the story is filled with a very deep love between Harry and Draco that is anchored in their every-day world. Er. Sorry. Didn't mean this rec to come out so long. I am sure most people here will have the read the story already. :)

You're most welcome. I just today googled for the link to the story, and epic_rants came up. ;) I've not seen it before, either, but it does encapsulate some of the major criticism of the story. As far I am concerned, the ranter seems to want another story, not the one that's been written. "Things That Change" remains one of my all-time favourite H/D fics, I can't help it. ;) Yes, it's melancholy, yes it's sad, and yes, it's definitely unsettling. I always cry when I read that fic, but then, I want that kind of emotional impact from a good story. It has all the things that draw me to H/D. Describing a healthy relationship is not one of them, I'm afraid.

I always love Things That Change simply because it portrays a relationship with all of its imperfections. Call me a romanticist if you want but not all relationships go smoothly, start off with love at first sight, have a happy ending or can be packaged in shiny paper and a bow. It always struck me as real, so much more so than any other mpreg I've read. Any author who can make a man having a baby make me forget a MAN is having a baby and get me to focus on the story (which, by far, is so gritty and truthful and FILLED with characters that are so flawed in nature yet PERFECT for each other) deserves a standing ovation.

I kind of got the same impression. The frustration with Draco's situation was understandable but it didn't seem to factor in who the characters were - both Draco and Harry were too immature and emotionally maladjusted to be in a relationship and having children but that's where they found themselves anyway and there were no outside factors to help them be better mentally and emotionally about it. They were both fucked-up people and that's compounded with Draco's WANTED status and the fact that they now had to raise children when they probably didn't have that good an experience being reared themselves.

I also thought that Draco insistence on the het-type of sex was explained in-story by Draco's insistence that he's "not gay" and his self-delusion that penis + vagina =! gay sex. I don't know how they could become healthy without lots of therapy for Draco (and probably Harry too) and for me it was already a "happy" ending to have them acknowledge that for all the fucked-upness, they do love and each other and their children, and that Draco finally wanted to break free of his self-imposed prison.
