I feel bad for posting again in such a short amount of time, but I'm a bit desperate :(

So, I started reading a multi-chaptered fic yesterday.  It was a fun read, I admit, but somewhere along the way I got irritated instead.  I'm not going to pinpoint which fic it is, because I know there are people who like that fic. It's just not my preference.

I'm a sucker for Draco. That's why it irritates me.  Whenever Harry hurts Draco, he only needs to say sorry and then Draco will suddenly forgive and forget. Yet when Draco hurts Harry, everyone turns on him and they, including Harry himself, victimize him (and it was almost bordering on self-pity too).  It made me angry that whenever Harry makes a mistake, Draco is forced to accept it (and even blames himself for it!) while when Draco makes a mistake, he has to pay.

Alright, so, I'm done with my ranting. Sorry for that.

Point is, I'm looking for a fic that's the opposite.  Not that I want Draco to drown in self-pity, but I want fics where the top is protective of him, and if they hurt Draco, they do pay for it, instead of putting the blame on Draco.

Any help will be much appreciated :D give me all recs you could give. Thanks before for the help!

Oh, and I don't read angst. It's too much for my fragile heart (:P).  I also try not to read drama, but a little drama is alright. Just not too much :)

I just went through that. I had reached the fourth chapter of the story I was reading when I gave up. I couldn't continue with that.

So I have one that fits. Harry does something really stupid and has to go through hell and back to be forgiven. That nice thing is that there is a happy ending. Sad thing? It's in French. So unless you read French I can't recommend it to you. So I ask you, do you read French?

In the mean time I'm looking for something that fits in my bookmarks. But first of all I'm going to bed.

Okay here it is. Just so you know this isn't exactly Harry's fault. But he is kind of thick and it's up to Draco and his friends to save him. So Harry is the one being saved from his stupidity.

To Err is Human by oldenuf2nobetter http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4811370/1/To_Err_is_Human is deliciously flangsty. Harry acts like a jerk but feels really bad, is chewed out for it, and completely accepts responsibility.

Ember by Alaana Fair http://www.thehexfiles.net/viewstory.php?sid=13178 really goes into how Harry pays for his mistakes and it covers a longer time frame.

I've read most works by Lokifan :D I actually think Harry is so stupid in this, but at least he learned his lesson :3 thanks for the rec still. I read a lot of fics from FF.net and this is one of them :D

About the argument fic, did he, though? :D I could kind of relate to him, so I know that he's not over-reacting. Not by much anyway.

My best friend died when we were 16. The only gift that she gave me by herself (meaning she didn't get together with other friends to buy it), I treasure a lot. When a break in happened and that thing was lost, I was angry for months. And that was done by someone I didn't even know. Imagine if it was broken or lost because of someone I care/love.

Anyway, sorry for ranting :P I guess that's just a reason why I like that fic so much xD

I can understand the emotions and reasoning behind it, but somehow it didn't really feel right (with his character) to me...maybe I'm just used to Draco being more controlled?...I guess it all comes down to the person who reads it (I don't really have anything that I couldn't bear losing).

there's another one.. its called Dirty Little Secret... by who.. i cant remember.. but all i know is that Harry is in the Quidditch team n a playboy who's been auction off by the ministry for the massive amount of complains and Draco is the winning bidder... he totally acts like a jerk to draco n stuff... there's a lot of groveling done by Harry in the end when he realize that he's in love with Draco... :D

warning.. i believe the sequel have mpreg.. :DD
