I hope it's OK to post this, because it's not a fic or anything...
I have a question - Why do you prefer Draco to be bottom? I love it too of course, but it started because I pair him with Harry and couldn't imagine Harry not to be top (And it looks sooo good in my head). So what are your reasons? It will help me convince others in the rightness of bottom!Draco :)

Oh, and there's also this delicious ferret!Draco by the very talented [livejournal.com profile] yukipon, so you woldn't say I've been wasting your time.

I think this would be canon ... Draco comes across as a very weak character who always needs somebody stronger to lean on - his father or Umbridge. He and his father are both very emotional in the books - I now stop reading any fics were Draco is the "ice-prince" or whatever, because he is NOT! His emotions can usually be read very clearly by Harry - like his greedy face in the fifth book, when he suggests accompanying Hermione and Umbridge in the Forbidden Forest. On their OWL examination Draco lets his glass fall when he sees Harry doing well - hardly something a composed, in-control ice-prince would do. Neither is Lucius - he starts a fistfight with Arthur Weasley.
Harry on the other is strong - I wouldn't say he ist he archetyp of a top, he is obviously a bit clumsy when it comes to relationships (but that might have been because Cho was wrong for him ...) but as he proved in the DA when it comes down to it, he has leader qualities.
This whole confusion between Tom Felton and Draco Malfoy begins to irritate me - although I think another reason is the assumption that since Slytherins are evil they must also be sexy, attractive, alluring, sarcastic, ironic, clever, witty etc.
